Ambian (Stilnox, Zolpidem) is in a class of drugs called sedative/hypnotics or sleep medicines.
Zolpidem (the brandname used for ambian outside the US) affects chemicals in your brain that may become
unbalanced and cause insomnia. ambian (Stilnox, Zolpidem) induces sleep and causes relaxation.
Indications
Case or prolonged sleep disorders:
-- Suspend difficulty;
-- Night and early awakening.
Contraindications
-- Severe respiratory insufficiency;
-- Severe hepatic insufficiency;
-- Childhood and adolescence until age 15;
-- Increased sensitivity to the drug component.
The product is not recommended for with the simultaneous use of alcohol.
Dosage
Adults under the age of 65 years shall designate the drug to 10 mg (1 tablet) per day.
Persons aged 65 years or patients with hepatic insufficiency drug designate in the 5 mg dose (1 / 2 tablets) a day. Increase to 10 mg dose (1 tablet) in this category of patients can only be a last resort.

Storage
The drug should be stored at room temperature.
